Missions
As members of the United Church of Christ, we support a number of local and national ministries and missions. In 2022, through the Missions Committee, our church became a 5-for-5 Church, and is now a UCC leader supporting the following ministries through our annual budget as well as special Congregation Collections.
"Our Church's Wider Mission” provides funding from congregations for Conferences and the national ministries of the United Church of Christ (Wider Church Ministries, Local Church Ministries, Justice and Witness Ministries and Pension Boards).
“One Great Hour of Sharing” is a mission that is a source of assistance during disasters; it focuses on refugees and reinforces the promotion of the United Church of Christ, developing additional ministries and is recognized during the Lenten season.
“Strengthen The Church” is a mission observed during Pentecost that strives to increase church leadership, bolster the establishment of new churches, and has a heart for youth ministry.
“Neighbors in Need” subscribes to an annual program geared toward ministries of compassion and justice and is observed as part of World Communion Sunday in October.
“The Christmas Fund for the Veterans of the Cross”, the fifth mission, has existed for over 100 years. It is administered through the United Church Board for Ministerial Assistance during the Christmas season. Funds provide direct financial support to those who serve the church and are facing financial difficulties.

CASA-Court Appointed Special Advocates
CASA volunteers are trained to become advocates for victimized children of abuse or neglect.

CROP Hunger Walk
The Christian Rural Overseas Program (CROP) Walk is a community-wide event in October to raise funds to end hunger. Money for this mission is raised entirely by walkers, donated to the FCC Hampton, NH Missions committee who ensure the funds are distributed to a community selected charity working to end hunger.

Seacoast Family Promise
Seacoast Family Promise provides homeless families with safe shelter, nutritious meals and the comprehensive support necessary for a more promising future.

Seacoast Youth Services
This mission offers positive youth development and support programs to coastal New Hampshire youth and their families.

St. Vincent de Paul Community Kitchen
Through the Missions committee and volunteers, meals are provided for those in need at the SVDP community kitchen.

TASC-Transportation Assistance for Seacoast Citizens
This organization provides transportation for people (predominantly seniors and/or disabled) who can't drive to medical appts and other selected appts., such as human service meetings.

God's Baby Closet
Year round
God's Baby Closet was started in 1991 and is our church's special mission to help local families with young children. We have been able to provide diapers, wipes, clothes, shoes, and equipment when available.
In 2009, a yearly "Baby Shower" to collect donations was started and continues each spring.
God’s Baby Closet is open two days a week - Wednesday and Thursday - from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. It is staffed by volunteers on a regular basis.
End 68 Hours of Hunger
Fall - Holidays
End 68 Hours of Hunger is a public non-profit effort to confront the approximately 68 hours of hunger that some school children experience between the free lunch they receive in school Friday and the free breakfast they receive in school Monday. Throughout the holidays. the church community at First Congregational Church of Hampton has many food drives to support this effort.
Project JOY

The Sunday School Program annually supports the local Hampton fire department with its Secret Santa program. In the season of giving, we want to make sure all children have the opportunity to participate in being a giver of joy!
Heifer International

January - March
Heifer International is on a mission to end hunger and poverty in a sustainable way by supporting and investing alongside local farmers and their communities.
This mission donates farm animals to reduce hunger and poverty. Money for this mission consists entirely of donations paid out in the first quarter each year. This mission grew from the love of and devotion to animals by past UCC pastor Rev. Deborah Knowlton and is primarily run by our Sunday School program.
