Our Church missions lean strongly on Matthew 25: “When hungry, we feed them, when thirsty, we gave them drink, when a stranger, we took them in, when naked, we dressed them, when sick, we visited them.”
Here is what and how we do this
We currently support a mix of eleven local, national and international missions along with what we call “Pop Up” missions, which may be one-time needs. We have several that we send an annual check to, yet most are supported by our church members’ participation, such as The Seacoast Area Crop Walk, Heifer International and God’s Baby Closet. The youth in Sunday School play a key role raising funds for International and Food Drives. Many members volunteer to support meals through the St. Vincent DePaul Outreach, visit shut ins, host singing and Bingo at nursing homes, provide food baskets, mittens and hats and much more. The church is highly active in the support of the local community needs.

The mission group meets monthly to review how we are doing, to find ways to meet community needs that have arisen, and to continue to seek the best ways to communicate to the church the progress that has been accomplished toward meeting these needs. You can expect to see key news of missions in the Weekly Announcements that you receive on-line We encourage you to ask questions of this group about any mission you’d like to know more about.
